The South Gate (5-minute walk from the Triumphal Arch car park) bypasses most souvenir sellers and gives an unobstructed first view of the Oval Plaza colonnades.
The Roman Army and Chariot Experience Hippodrome show (JOD 12) runs at 11am and 2pm. The 11am show has the better morning light and typically a smaller audience.
