Sainte-Anne is a popular resort town on the south coast of Grande-Terre, Guadeloupe’s flatter eastern island. It has a lively seafront with a beach right in town, a market selling spices and rum, and white-sand beaches protected by reefs.

It is a good base for exploring the south coast, the dramatic headland of Pointe des Châteaux and the islands of Marie-Galante and La Désirade.
