Manuel Antonio National Park, on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast, is one of the country’s smallest but most visited parks. Trails lead through rainforest to sheltered beaches, with sloths, monkeys, iguanas and toucans commonly seen.

Outside the park, a hilly road lined with hotels and restaurants links it to the fishing town of Quepos, with its marina and sportfishing fleet.
